I got a friend that's got one and loves it.
I have the elite 5 ice and works great. And like fish tales said just get a summer transducer and also works great in the boat.
Hope this help.

Cheers

Went from a Showdown to the Elite 4x and no regrets. I had no complaints about the Showdown, it did serve me well. Now I can have my Navionics Gold with me and that's was my reason for the change.

I bought one. :)
Any suggestions in settings? I saw some guys leave ice fishing menu as off.

80 or 200 transducer? In probably under 25 ft of water.

Thanks again

I have one and I like it just fine. just get your settings right. In real shallow weedy water (scugog) nothing works great. But you can just look down the hole. I've used mine up to 110 Ft with no problem marking the jig on the flasher. I prefer the split screen personally. You need to mess around with the settings a bit. (Clear water, ice mode etc) depending on the lake conditions. The best part is marking your spots and using the GPS to get you right back there. Also saved me once out in the middle of lake simcoe in a blizzard, used the waypoint to get me home safe! I'm still trying to find a ram mount for it with a 12v adapter So I can take it on the bike as a navigation tool.
