That guy who got his fourwheeler bogged down in the slush could have drilled two holes side by side, loop the winch through the two holes and hook it back on the cable and pull himself out. worked many times for me!

beauty idea!

Good to see someone icing a couple of fish! been out four times to various locations on quinte, and I have only caught 2 small perch. almost as small as the minnow. hope the bite changes soon.

I was out yesterday morning. Had lots of marks on the flasher but they just had no interest in biting. Threw everything I had at them and 0 eyes iced. Managed to hook-up with a small whitefish. 8O Surprise. Snow was drifting pretty good in the afternoon.

Heading out to Huff's Friday. Yes, I know lots of wind and rain but unfortunately don't get to pick the days I can get out. Worse case if the weather is too extreme its a nice 3 hour drive one way :?

Might be the only person on the ice Friday without a shack... Hope the floater suit is water proof.

Fished Huffs on Monday (Family day). Marked fish all day but no takers. Finally at 5:00 PM a huge mark on the Marcum, with some aggressive jigging was able to hook into a monster. Guess the jigging was too aggressive, the rod snapped and the line broke, felt like I snagged a rock on the bottom... only thing I felt all day 10+ hours on the ice.

Three skunks in a row. Maybe the 4th trip and some suffering in the rain will change my luck.

JG

Fished huffs this morning from 7:00-12:30. Marked quite a few but no real agressive fish a few I thought were going to smash it would meet the lure and back off, tried everything. Fished 30 ft and 23 ft. Marked more at 30 ft.
