How long do the trout hang off bomb island area each year? New to this. Went out once as kid with my old man to many years ago to remember. But I remember bows we were fishing for and I don't remember any fish caught .

Rainbows are late too. They're usually biting by now but have not had any takers yet. Looks like it will be a late spring trout bite this year.

A friend was driving through port hope last week and stopped to check the mouth of the river. a few people were ice fishing there and had some on the ice.

Best Launch is Wellington (when it's open to the lake)

Saw the ice fishers at Port Hope last week coming back from TO on the train, the lakes wide open up that way, Hard to get a boat in - LOL.

Take Beach Street to the end and a $5 bill for parking. There is also one by the LCBO and you can park up the road by the arena.

One would think that browns from Pr Edward county would react in a similar fashion to browns anywhere in the lake.

If the browns are caught on sandy beaches or rocky shores there must be similar places on both those islands also.
