I will be in the area in a couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone has fished right out from the town. It looks promising on Navionics for pike and perch.

I've fished right out front of the town in the boat, great pike spot. Never been on the ice there, but I've heard there's guys out there. Be careful around the gan river/st lawrence they opened the dam on the gan river last week and the ice could be unpredictable. I've been fishing west of gan a bit, near landon's bay. Done well with perch out that way and the the ice was plenty thick (over 18")

Thanks for the replies. I will definitely watch out for the ice there. Just tried to PM 1000island gordo but it says no member found. Have I spelled it wrong? We have a trailer near Landon's Bay so very familiar with fishing open water but ice fishing there is new to us.

pm sent
dl is very correct, perch on fire just west of landons bay.(called halstead bay) but the worst year I have ever seen for pike fishing!!!!! I do not think pike are too interested in a 4 inch shiner or mud minnow when they can have breakfast/lunch/dinner when ever they want with perch everywhere.
cheerz
