I caught a new world record today. I now hold the 15 lb samurai braid with a number 14 barrel swivel with 12 lb berkerly vanish on a johnson gold slimfish size 5/8 while jigging left handed with 2 minnows and listening to ziggy marley while wearing a fladen rescue suit and cabelas size 11 boot in a supershak hut with a mr buddy heater and a 20lb propane tank while smoking a sheriff cigarette. The fish was 14.73 inches long and weighed nearley 2 lbs. Pics to come pending verification

hehehe. I love it!!! Lemme guess Mike, you were a salesman as well in a past life?

By the way, I learned a long time ago that rules are like locks. Only honest people believe in them. Not sayin' but just sayin'.

guys, relax.

the "record" is not a world record...

everyone makes "new" forms of records...ice fishing record, live release record, etc.

there is only one record.

thats the one where you kill the fish, weigh it, and if your the highest, you win!

biggest fish i've seen caught in a few years was by Sweet Walleye .... just under 16lbs...

all other fish are "nice fish".

but there is only one record. Patrick Noon caught it in the Niagara River in 1943.

The rest are just "nice fish".

Agreed!

That dirty dogger Patrick noon was also caught weighting fish with sinkers after he had caught his world record. Which for me, brings into question the legitimacy of his first world record.

Hearsay or fact? I would think if he was "caught" the record would not stand.

Good for Grant.

It's well deserved, whether or not that fish is any type of real record.

Grant has spent a lot of time on the water and works it as hard as anyone I know.

Hey Dan/Adventure is Grant still a board member or is he banned? He's been aweful quiet if he is still an active member! Would be very interested in hearing his side of the story if he is still able to post and at least attempt to defend his side of what went on?
I'm sure some already know what has gone on but this was a very big topic a couple of months ago and would love to put all the rumours to bed.

Paul
