I've heard big sandy bay off Wolfe holds browns. Would make sense but haven't tried

browns will be anywhere along the shoreline where warm water (even one degree warmer) builds and bait resides as a result.

soon guys :)

Any one have any predictions as to when we will be doing some soft water Brown trout fishing?

We will be out there after steve-hamilton. He is always the first one out. He is fortunate where he goes out.

Anyone ever fish browns through the ice on Lake Ontario before... Actually, does anyone have a report on the ice in the big lake around Wellington and if it is breaking up yet?

STILL PRETTY SOCKED IN AS OF YESTERDAY LOL LOOKS LIKE ITS GOING TO BE AWHILE UNLESS WE GET A REALLY GOOD HARD NORTH WIND THAT LASTS A FEW DAYS. WESTLAKE HAS 20 INCHES .OF ICE ON IT SO THATS NOT GOING TO BREAK UP ANYTIME SOON EITHER.

Thanks for the update Grizz, talked about the ice at the Belleville Show and it's looking bad for March - hopefully early in April

thing with wellington is you have to keep track of the ice flow lol ive seen it clear as far as one ccould see and with the right wind shift the ice blows in and its nothing but ice and no way back into port right now channel is wide open til you reach the light house then there is no way out

As of Friday the channel in front of the Marina in Wellington was open
and a lot of waterfowl were swimming around .The channel itself was filled with broken
ice up to the lighthouse.

How about the launch ramp near the LCBO, must have 20 feet of snow this year????

What about the launch on the other side???? That's the key.

You and LakerJohn need to get kayaks, just slide them in over top of the ice banks
