Hit Simcoe Sunday with my 14 year old son and went to deep water in search of Jumbo perch. 45.8 FOW and the big gals came to play. I got one Jumbo and my son took over with some of the biggest girls I have ever seen caught. I have some pictures but not sure how to post them.
9 Jumbos in total and one small dink. Big bag of perch for the freezer.
We have 2 1/2 plus feet of ice on Cooks Bay. Handles of the power auger are almost preventing me from drilling the hole through to the water.
As for the lakers and White fish.... No luck again this year! I will stay with the Perch.

Haven't fished Simcoe in years. Father always took us there for Whitefish. Good memories.
