Just thought I would post that the channel in port hope is open!! Lots of steel in the river, and you could get a boat out if you had a tinner to slide down the boat launch!!!

No it's actually still iced up at the walking bridge! There were guys Ice fishing it this morning. But about halfway between the walking bridge and the boat launch it is wide open.

fished it on Tuesday and went 0/0 water was like milk from snow run off, but a large group on the west and east piers hammering them!!!!

Travelled down Friday night and dropped in for a look see. Ice fishing under tresel open water as posted. Was going to head down Sun. Morning but weather calls for -13 overnight which will mean it will be iced up by morning. Few fish around but my guess would be Thursday this week if weather stays as predicted should be right on! I hate driving all the way down if not fishable and temps tomorrow stay in the -9 range all day.
