Quinte Fishing

Tried it.... Lathered my lures and minnow in berkley trout attractant and even shot some in the hole. Did not work. Helped with the lakers earlier in the season I would fill my tube jigs with it and it would slowly leak out.

Cool videos. One of my buddies has a cam and we have watched the splake come in and hit or investigate. From the videos it looks like you leave your spoon still for long periods of time. I constantly jig with very little pause and generally use big lifts of 3-5' with a free fall. On my Lowrance I have seen them come zooming in and follow the spoon like a yoyo before hammering it.
I find they like lots of movement and flash; from my observations it tends to make them super aggressive. These fish are extremely fast so don't worry about "power" jigging as I like to call it. We have seen them come zooming up 15-20' as the spoon is being dropped down a hole to hit it on the fall. I also find the bite to be better on overcast days and generally in the morning from 7-11. Hope you manage to figure them out as they are great eating and put up a great fight for their size...I use a panfish rod with 4 lb test.
