My father inlaw and I fish together quite a bit. Every fall we head out to a place where the smallmouth usually start to hang around and this past weekend was no exception. Smallmouth were nailin crankbaits in the 7-10ft range. Got to love the sudden stop of you crankbait like you're snagged then the hard pounding of a good smallie. We nailed quite a few with most 2-3lbs but a couple between 4 and 6lbs. Have a look at the toad smallie caught on a crankbait this past weekend.Who ever said the guy at the front catches more fish is wrong. It weighed in at just under 6lbs.The largie he also caught from the back of the boat a few weeks ago.

Wow!

Those are some really nice looking bass Dan.

Maybe it was that lucky Quinte Fishing hat.

Is that all I need to catch those brutes!

Jim,
The hat is a definate asset but all you really need is a bomber big "O" or the Rapala DT10 in firetiger. Aim at nearest rockpile in the water and hang on. :D
