With the late season AGAIN, I would opt for something in the 11.75 - 12.00 size.

The water will be COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are no warm temps set for the next five days.........

If we get anything over 9.5 lbs, we're going to the scale.

Lotsa luck to the entrants

Fish not spawned out should be released to spawn . Still think many over 15 gonna be entered.
Alot of people concerned about the number of fish reproducing . something to think about.

has there ever been a winner over 15lbs?

i can't recall that big of a winner in the decade or so I've been watching the results.

"many"....that's a stretch I'd say.

There has never been a fish over 15 lbs entered on the walleye side. Pike yes but not walleye.

Haven't fished the Derby in well over 20yrs, one day I'll get back, but when I did I sat atop the leaderboard one year with a 10.1 only to be bumped to 10th by ounces ...I think the winner was 10.6.
Seeing many predicting low teens...for old time sake I'll lowball at 10lbs 6oz and sure hope it is one of our Forum guys.

Good luck everyone and safety first...an old saying by one of my dearly departing fishing buddies "if all else fails, drop a stick!"
