Took my son out lastnight in a buddies pontoon boat. Started west of Wagners farm around 5 and set out 2 bouncers with different color spinners and zig zagged in and out from 9ft of water to 19 ft of water. Trolled all the way to Trident without marking a single fish. Proceeded from Trident along a few contour lines that we usually do well on in Hungry Bay towards the mouth of the salmon, same result......not a single fish marked. Saw 6 other boats at Trident and didn't see any nets go over........guess the fish aren't in big bay .............YET!! Will hopefully be out a few times this weekend if the weather isn't to crappy.

They should be there soon. Was up the Trent River last night and the white bass are in and the walleye are mostly gone.

Just a word of caution for everyone. When the water went down, it dragged a pile of trees, logs and big branches down with it. The mouth of the Trent and out into the bay was covered with deadheads. These will be washing down through the bay over the next few days. Keep your eyes out for them while travelling around.

Thanks for the report. I haven't had a chance to head out that far yet, but i managed 6 walleye right under the bay bridge in the hole the other night. They were hitting gulp tubes in 30'. All fish were males.

I also tried the mouth of the moira, you could really smell the fish, but didn't get any there. Usually this time of year you don't have to go any farther than Belleville area to pick up your limit, until the weeds grow.
