Hello Folks,

Usually this time f year, the fish are running, but i haven't heard or seen any posts from fellow forum members. Was wondering if it was worth it to try Dunnville for a few Silvers, usually Detroit River has a run but with the weather we've had i don't think it would have started yet, unless someone knows different ?

Afraz

Can't keep them off in the Trent River right now. I was wondering while I was tossing them back, does anyone eat them???

I've kept them before and they are excellent..... Not the greatest for freezing but great to catch a bunch during the day then have a big fish fry for supper later that day. Nothing better. Use peanut oil!!!!!

Also I forgot to add, after filleted and skinned, make sure to trim the red flesh along the lateral line as this part is quite "fishy"

Last year a week after walleye opener there were so many around the bay bridge that when i was vertical jigging, we were snagging them. For every 10 silver bass we would get a small wally.Somebody told me that what i was catching was white perch????no clue i thought they were silver bass, as they didnt resemble a perch.
