Went out this morning from of Wellington to try the lakers. We got into quite a few with the biggest 35" with a 23" girth. We ran between 20-40 FOW and spoons with gold on them were the preference. A couple of double headers and one triple made for some fun action between the two of us.

I was just thinking this afternoon how the Laker and Brown fishing has been lately. Was thinking of Browns in Athol Bay for a change from Wallskie fishing. Have yet to hit Lake O this year  . Thanks for the update.

Hey Dave you might want to wait a while to hit Athol. Big Gene and I were there this am. We could see schools of alewives on the surface on the south shore. When we got close enough we could see them jumping and the gulls were diving on them. We scooped up 6 off the surface and they all had teeth marks on them. Only on the south shore so far because it was the warmest water we found all morning.
54 F.

Right in front of Wellington might be OK until the alewives hit the shore.

Went 0 for 0 this am. :D :D :D

Al
