After picking up my new boat from Trophyhunter, I knew there was nothing but good things to come. I got it home, gave it a good once over, tightened everything up and got things organized. With that done, what better way to try out a new boat than take your little guys and wife out for some action on the big lake.

We only had an hour so I set my wife on course for some lakers and set two riggers. I just got sat down when the first rod went off. I held the rod and my son cranked the handle for all he could.

Not to be out done by his brother, my youngest showed he had it in him too and went two in a row.

One more nice laker made it a pair for each of them.

It was hilarious to listen to them straining and counting the feet the line was still out while battling the fish. They weren't letting them big old fish get away for nothing! Can't forget to say their Mom did a fantastic job of netting them.

After that, we headed back home. The boys were full of smiles and have a great story for their friends at school. Not too bad for an hours fishing and first trip out for the new boat.

Thanks Bill, the boat worked excellent for us!

Thanks guys, I was actually planning on going to Wicklow and trying for the bows, but by the time I got everything cleaned up and finished moving from one boat to the other and on limited time, I just stayed closer to home.
Wow, it's hard to believe how much stuff we keep in our boats. It felt like I was moving across the country :)
