if any one was wondering about water temp out on the big lake it was 54f to 55f today.

Today in the Bonnet Shoal area it was 61 F on the surface and 50.5 down 40' @ 2:30 pm.

we where out around the bonet. I wonder if my temp gauge is off?

Fred we were not at the Bonnet Island but south of the Bonnet Shoal. Probably 5 miles south of the Bonnet Lighthouse Island. The currents were pushing good warm water in all day from the south. Both the Fish Hawk X-4 and sonar unit surface temp were exactly the same. We had north east winds over night and this morning pushing the warm surface waters out. The sub current below 40' was pushing warm water down deep in towards the shoal.

If that keeps going for a couple days the salmon will be in closer by mid next week.
