Hi All

I am new to area and have a couple of questions regarding salmon fishing. The areas that are talked about on here..Bonnett for one is it reachable with a 16tf with a 25 hp or do the waves get to big. And lastly, it is also mentioned late June to mid august.....this is now late june have they moved into those areas.....I don't want your gps coordinates just a simple yes or no answers.

Thanks

If people don't like fishing.......Whocares.....lol

Reports as of now are the kings aren't in yet. The run can be done in any boat with good conditions. You will have to pick your day with basically no wind and be prepared to pull lines quickly and run back if conditions change. I did it many times in my 17' princecraft.

I am on vacation from July 13 and booked a charter to learn where to go and how to use dipsy rods most effectively, I don't have down riggers so that was my most cost effective way to try salmon on my own.

I bought 2 dipsy rods on kijiji for $250 so if it doesn't work out I can repost them back there.....lol

Stay safe and I will post how I made out.

Whoecares.

I started out using dipsys on a rigger rod with mono. Makes for a tough go bringing them back in. I moved on to dipsy rods and mono which helped quite a bit. But I got a set of wire dipsy rods this year and they caught 3/4 of the lakers last Sunday. The wire set-up makes using big dipsys a whole lot easier and definitly worth having.
