With the lake trout all but gone off the shoals and the kings starting to surface in the eastern basin, this marks the start of a long overdue summer ! The bite has been pretty consistent for lake trout, working depths from 20-60 feet seemed to have produced best for us. Alot of great eating 3-4 lb fish have been caught this spring, showing the lake trout stocking program is working great and will start showing some huge fish in the coming years ! We caught our first salmon of the season yesterday, man it was great to hear the reels scream again! Come out and enjoy a day on beautiful lake Ontario with Amherst Charters! Checkout our website for more pictures and to keep updated on the action! www.amherstcharters.com

Happy clients. The one fellow was from Scotland! He was sure impressed with the fishing opportunities here!

If anyone has been on the lake over the past few weeks, youll know that the caddisfly hatch was almost unbearable! Can you count them?!

Great report! Love the football, they were elusive this year. Thanks for sharing.
