I have used Blacks, Walkers, Chamberlain, Big Jon, Off Shore and Scotty releases over the years.
By far Scotty is the best release that I have ever used. They all have their pros & cons and I am not going to get into that at this time.

Most retailers in the Toronto area handle the Shark weights. A great weight but a bit over priced. We use them but I prefer a torpedo type weight. Smaller profile and less surface area which cuts down on water friction drag.

Al

I was in Gagnon's sports in Oshawa a few weeks ago and they have a ton of Salmon stuff , the most I have ever seen . They also have a big section of Torpedo stuff , 12 lb , 16 lb weights , divers , snap swivels etc.

Thanks for the info fellas, Just mounted the riggers today, now off to get some torpedoes and releases. Shark man were do you get those Chamberlain and Black's releases ? I've never heard of those. Thanks again, Spider.

Spider, I just got a couple Chamberlin Releases from The Angling Outpost. Attached them and gave them a try this past weekend and they worked great. Just a heads up, they have some coupons on their facebook too.
