Well finally managed to make it to Quinte this year. Headed down for a 4 day weekend, managed to fish most of Thursday and Friday the whole day.

Started off east of the ferry, running planer boards on the mast. It wasn't long before the first hit came...my friend pulls in a nice Walleye. Sizes were all pretty consistant at about 25"-30"

Nailed on a Mann's 20 Perch.

Off we go again, not long after my other buddy nails another beauty, this time on the old reliable Dr.D..

Then it's my turn to join in on the fun...guests get first shots in the boat :D And wouldn't you know it...a Sheepy :!:

Image

At least it came in at 10+ pounds..

Well the day turned out quite well as my guests were pleasantly surprised...We went 13 for 15 with two Sheepies...

More pics...

Our biggest came in close to 12 pounds of which we had two.
We went a perfect 22 for 22 with only one Sheepy...You'll see it below, kinda resembles a football.

Here are more of the 2 days catches...

Rapala Deep Taildancers were quite effective as well. Mann's 20 in Firetiger was another good one.

Just an awesome 2 days of fishing....

And what better way to end our second day than a double header..photographer should be tarred and feathered for this one.. :D

Image

Finished Friday as we didn't get out Saturday or Sunday but went 35 for 37...Not too shabby.

Now all that being said, you think that was good..my buddies, in another boat went 37 for 39.... 8O

I kid you not..

And before the inevitable question gets asked...I didn't keep any, my guests kept one over and one under each.

If you're thinking of coming to Quinte..forget it, the fishery is dead...

Now folks, let's see those reports fly.

Anyone wanting more info, feel free to pm me...

WIG

Great thread WIG!

We did have a great weekend on Quinte waters....one to remember for awhile....

My better half and I managed 20 over 2 days....she had a blast....and is looking forward to going back.....

Image

To any "locals" concerned about loads fish being kept over this weekend....drop me a PM......misinformation is spreading regarding our outing and it frankly pisses me off.....well over a hundred (probably closer to 200) fish were caught this past weekend within our crew....with way less than 10% being kept....1 was kept for the wall.....and smaller fish kept for a fish fry on one night....a handful of others due to being unable to revive them....

People really need to get a life.....and fight the right battles....

I never assume by someone showing pictures that they are keeping everything, I think most poachers know they aren't welcome on this forum. glad you had a good fishing trip  I had an alright day yesterday chasing salmon (actually a few almost ran into me sending me flying out of my waders)

By the look of those walleye, they've been eating quite well.
