I read some negatives comments about last weekends outing and its really sad. the FH group is a great bunch of guys and it upsets me to see people see them in a negative light. I could not make the trip myself but enjoyed all the pics and storys they shared with us

I sure hope my comment didn't hurt too many feelings. I personally was surprised to read some of the posting. They sounded so mean-spirited, almost a taunt.
I read through the thread many times, I saw no other negative comments other than my own. I apologize whole-heartedly for my negative 2 cents. I'll read more and talk less.

Don't sweat it fella.... .....Was I touchy?...a bit....when things are being said by people who haven't a clue what they are talking about it gets my back up....to anyone that was actually at Merlands this past weekend.....they know the truth.....

meaning that if someone shows pictures of 20 fish they caught in one day, that I don't assume they took them all home.

meaning why would someone come onto this board to show off their catch if they were a poacher, they would know better (I hope).

my definition of a poacher is someone who breaks a law in the fishing regulations period. totally by the regs. It's not up to me to decide who is and who is not a poacher.

hope this clarifies, I got a vibe on this forum that there are those who think because I'm a fly fisher that I'm a snotty elitest. if that was the case I'd only be matching the hatch and throwing dry flies to rising trout from may to september, and definitely would not be on this forum.

I don't have a problem with people keeping fish, I suggest you don't do it too much though, for your own health reasons, but that's up to you, and I'm not judging anyone for it.
