Looking for a bear proof box or cage that will work with an game camera. Where is a good spot to buy one, order one, or does anyone local make them? Looking for any input. My cameras are small bushnells but also larger cheaper ones that I bought because bears mess with them even when they just set on a trail. This year I am actually going to bait them so I imagine the cameras as a right off uess under protection. Thanks guys. Setting up on the 25th.

There r bear proof box,s out there for cameras, google your brand name of camera with bear proof and c if your brand is covered, they cost about $30., also check out the home made versions, some r quite inventive and pretty cheap to manufacture.
Cheers Rob

There are very few bear proof boxes that actually work. Do yourself a favor, especially when baiting. Do your cameras first, then mess with the bait. If you get molasses and berry juice all over the camera, guess what? it just became bait. Wear gloves, and then spray the camera down with scent killer, this should minimize the possibility of the bear messing around with it.. U-Way cameras have steel boxes for all their models, as does Spypoint..
