Like Jigging Guy, I got the K-Drill late in the season last year(8 inch). Used my son-in-laws Dewalt XRP with older batteries. I have since got the Dewalt 20-Volt 1/2-in Brushless Lithium Ion with 4 ah batteries. Haven't tried it yet. Important to have drill with lower drive gear that is about 500 RPM and big ah batteries.
Video (repeat) attached is in 24 inches of ice and older drill. Holding the drill steady with very little downward pressure. My new drill has the detachable extra handle.

For you Quinte guys without a doubt this is the answer. Very light for those long walks, thinner ice so number of holes is negligible and the ability to cut two holes into a snowman side by side if you want. And never mix gas again or deal with a gummed up carb.
