Made it down to Quinte late this afternoon, fished from 3 to 5 pm. Landed 2 walleye a 3 and a 7 pounder, east of the ferry.

Back out sat and Sunday.

Slow day for us on Saturday. Could not find the fish we found friday. Spent most of the day east of the ferry most fish we marked were deep. We were not catching anything so set up the downriggers with a ripplin redfin and a spoon on other one.

Ended the day going 1 for 2, we caught a 2 poumd walleye off the rigger down 80 feet in 120 feet of water and lost a second one of them as l rigger

Woke up Sunday morning with a light coating of snow and everything and a very windy forecast, the second boat in our group decided not to fish today, we decided to atleast try and hope it was not as windy as the forecast.

Waited until it was light out and launched at Picton at 7 am, and headed for our favour spot East of the ferry. Marked quinte a few fish but hard to get any to bite. Finally found a bit of a pattern and ended up boating 3 fish in th 5-6 pound range before calling it quits for the day.

It got windy out there for awhile, but not near as bad as the forecast was perdicting. Windy peaked similar to yesterday but died down early afteroon to barely a ripple, for a nice quick ride back to the launch.

For those interested water temps... In Picton Bay around 42-43 degrees ...... East of the Ferry around 48 degrees.

Hopefully back down in a few weeks if weather co-operates.

Best of luck out there and be save!

JimW

Thanks Jim for the reports. At least you got a few fish. I'm 0 for 2 trips this fall.

Fished sat night and sun morning. Cement plant area . Not a bite . Surprising to because I was seeing bait balls with hooks on top and below .Some imbedded right inside bait .Best sonar porn you could ask for . Thought for sure I'd get a bite . I know others saw this to as there where charter boats working the same area . Didn't see anyone hook up .
