I was under the Bay Bridge in Belleville. I was on the north side. it was dam cold had to throw it in to break up soft ice I had 4 hours before I figured that my boss was looking for me oops I am pleased to announce that I caught a 4 lb and a 7 1/2 on dead shiners lots of fun 71/2 went back in the water just ate the 4lb nice dinner thanks

forgive me for being stupid but the fish you caught were walleye,bass? im pretty new at all this so im gonna pick ppls brains

i am gonna have this coming weekend to myself as my boys are going to see their mom so i will be there at some point thru the weekend , thats great advice thank you, i hope i catch a walleye it would be my first ...again thank you

Unless your 4 lber was the fatest 18" fish you have caught...a 4lber probably runs in the 19-25" range??? That is a slot fish sir......and that has to go back.

I concur. Louis, were you unaware of the new regs? Not to diminish your results which were encouraging, but if your fish was 4 lbs., that's right in the slot for sure. All fish 19" - 25" inches have to be thrown back. I'm sure you'll remember that next time you're out.

yes I agree I did look up the slot limits and it was to be put back now I do feel bad about it as I am as a rule real funny about that

Hey, don't beat yourself up about it. You're better informed now for the next outing. That's one of the great things about this website and others. They're great source of education for us all on many different levels. We'll all be fishing on ice soon.
