I want to thank the Glenora Ferry crew for the helping hand Sunday morning. We decided to try breaking ice out to the open water but after a hundred yards we realized it would take all day and so started backing up, that's when the Ferry arrived. They took an extra wide swing on their way to the dock and broke ice for us making our retreat a whole lot quicker and easier. We then drove back to Finkles and put in seeing one other boat. Hooked 2 walleye in quick succession east of the batcave near the landslide. Both about 8 lbs and both on pink lemonade reef runners with weights and 200 feet behind. One got a hook in the gills and became dinner, the other got it's picture taken and back into the water. The ice was all the way out to the lighthouse so it looks like the year is ending rapidly. We took one more big momma east of the batcave. 11lbs 4 ozs, made a great picture to end the year with. Time to get out the ice fishing gear.
