Big Ugly.....Welcome to the Forum!.......Lots of Perch in the Bay of Quinte.Often found closer to shore than Walleye ,so you wont have to venture out as far.Although there are numerous areas,I would suggest Potters Creek,Onderdonks,Big Bay(Point Anne or Wagers Farm).I mention these areas because at least on weekends there will likely be others around, which is not a bad idea in unfamiliar areas. Also north of Cobourg there is Rice Lake and I would suggest Bewdley and Gores Landing ,again for the same reasons.(Walleye is closed on Rice but not Perch ,it is open year round)These suggestions are for when things freeze up a little more, though with the cold snap ,we are perhaps getting closer to better ice conditions. This board will help you with that, but check conditions yourself as well. Also in Ontario there is usually a winter version of Family weekend that caters to youngsters, you will find more information on this event on the internet.Good luck
