Ya I hear you guys. I find myself picking up after these slobs too. If I don't do it now, I'll be picking it up at the shore in front of my cottage in the spring.

Bothers me that some people don't have respect for the fishery and environment they are in. I pick up other peoples garbage all the time. Nice tk do when my kids are with me. They ask " why did they throw it there instead of the garbage daddy" I say because some people are to damn lazy and disrespectful but were not so let's pick it up.

They never disappoint me.

Seen a lot of good fishing spots closed down due to people leaving their trash behind.

Please people take your trash with you, don't spoil it for everyone else.

I don't see what's so hard. You brought the stuff in, take it out.
Just makes me mad when you see garbage anywhere.

I was happy to say I didn't see much. I picked up some bottles and tackle packaging but happy to say I could carry with one hand. Come on guys don't give us out of towners a bad name!

I was going to take pictures of the garbage and post them but then I realized no members on this board would be ignorant enough to leave a mess!
It's a shame that I have to pick garbage up because it bugs me that much to leave it. Nothing worse than people putting propane tanks in their ice holes and leaving them to freeze!

Everytime I pick up someone else's garbage with my boys I know I pass along a sense of respect to them. I ask them to remember what it looked like before we cleaned it up and to look at it now. Then I tell them to smile and be proud of what we just did. Sure some slob may come along again and do the same, but I find over time people are less likely to be the first to throw their garbage down but don't think twice about it if there is already a pile there.
All I can say is keep up the great work to those who care. You're not the only ones and we all appreciate it.

Thanks for the reminder Wayne, We collect all the beer cans and bottles over the year that we pick up the boys get the money. One year they got over $32 dollars. To young kids, that's big cash :) and is a good incentive for them.
