Hi folks , a buddy was fishing potters Friday and had his hut ripped out of the ice and flew down the lake(tent style), did anyone happen to see it? He basically says its gone, lol

I didn't realize huts could fly, but on Saturday I seen a pop-up doin 45 km/h towards the belleville bridge!!!!! There was a guy running after it for a bit doin 10k lol. She Gone!!!!!
That sucks but it was pretty funny to see!

Very nice of Mudcat40 to post this topic. As another friend of the gentleman who lost his hut, I can add that it was a Clam hub style hut. It was in as new condition before it vacated the premises! I guess the lesson here is to be very sure about your ice anchoring practices!

Not that this helps, but on Sunday we say a piece of a clam hut out at Pete's point ( a small section, 10x10") . I hope your buddy gets his hut back , and that piece wasn't what's remaining.

it went in one piece so someone will be finding a nice gift wrapped around their tree in the back yard I expect
