They said they found it and hung it on a no parking sign. Lmao. You no where I'm going with this. It's the 1 boot guy that's responsible for you getting the parking ticket. They are parking signs. Not dam cloth lines. Geeeeee.

To be clear the boot was hanging off a sign  not sure what kind of sign & no it wasn't mine but a buddies that choose to park in the turn around, we parked in the pay parking lot 8)

Now lets get right to the point of this post, if choose to disobey the obvious signage on the road, on a day that there was snow to be plowed you shouldn't be complaining! I didn't see anybody get a ticket Saturday or Sunday when there was no snow to be plowed so it's obvious that somebody is using some common sense & maybe somebody didn't use common sense on Monday & for that they got a $35 ticket & that my friend is your sign...

I believe that post is locked & the guy is Tylercurt (sorry if I'm wrong) at least this guy provides lots of info to the board & I'm sure answers many PM's he gets...maybe he should charge $5 for replies to PM's. I know I would pay $5 for a reliable report...just saying.

I hung the one boot on a sign. But, it was the big "Safe Ice Thickness" sign by the launch. I think there was 2 episodes of one lost boot ?

I'm surprised no one got a ticket for littering, what with the rampant disregard for litter laws, leaving boots on the ice, hanging boots on signs, and such...

Its your choice to park in a no parking zone so if you get a ticket suck it up and pay it or go pay the 5 bucks and support local people that are willing to support our fishing addiction

Just be thankful you got you got a ticket!!!

Last year while fishing Wellers I had my vehicle towed by the county, for "apparent" snow removal. I returned to my vehicle around 11am and it was gone!!! I called the police and they told me what happened. I then called the tow-truck company and they told me they had my vehicle, BUT................ They ripped the oil pan off my vehicle when they towed it. To make a long story short the tow truck company fixed me up, and I was back in the vehicle 3days later!!!!!!

What I don't get in my instance is I was parked on county land, with absolutely no NO Parking signs, and I was in the middle of no where in minus 15 temps!!! And probably a 5 mile walk to any nearest store.

What if I didn't have a cell phone??? Whol makes the call to just tow a vehicle???? Is it the plow driver or a supervisor from the county??? Complete idiot move on whomever made that call.

after I got this show all sorted out around noon, I walked back out and set my hut up. My wife had to come from Peterborough to pick me up. So remember things can always be worse.

I see that you had it real bad, that's why I didn't park on main road shoulder on Monday in case of snow plough. I took a chance and done it for years
but it appears that somebody calls and reports on regular bases. Last year I used $5 parking but it was empty in the morning and I wasn't sure
it is allowed this year.
Ticket isn't a big deals but sucks at the end of a pleasant day.

At huffs today. About 3 trucks in the no parking. About 10 paid the 5 bucks. And about 10 parked on the ice. Marked quite a few fish. Not takers. All good though. No parking ticket. And yes. I got 2 boots. Haaaaa
