Quinte Fishing

Hey all

Great job on reports this year, keeping everyone safe to fish another day!! Enjoy seeing pics of Quinte gold on the hard water !!! Wondering if anyone been in the long reach, Sherman, huff area and how much ice there is? Is its possible to take atv or sled out to these areas from Picton bay. Any info would be appreciated. Keep up the good work

There are reports for the huffs area, about 5-7" hard black ice, depending where else on the reach, between 4-7"- but always check. The west side is always a little thinner due to currents. It's unlikely you would want to take an ATV from picton- think it is probably still too early for that- better to launch from huffs- think some folks have had ATV/sleds out from the past posts this year at that location. Haven't seen too many reports on hay bay yet. Down this weekend though and hoping to find out.

I was at both Huffs and Hay Bay last weekend and there was about 6 inches of good black ice. There were plenty of guys with atv's and sleds out there.
