So this morning we hit up weller's. On the ice and set up about 7:25 in 12-15fow and on about 8" of ice.
Spent the morning in some biting winds, but only a perch to show for it.

Packed up around 10 and headed to presque'ile bay at gosport.

Again, just a couple small perch, nothing else. No one on wellers or gosport reported anything either while talking.

The question I had, however, was if anyone knows of any access to long reach near huffs from the west side (off of 35 somewhere).

Thanks for reading, and best of luck to everyone out there! And be careful tomorrow with the warm weather.

I've heard of acess on the opposite side near 9. Do most people fish at the mouth of the long reach near deseronto and Sherman's pt. or right in the middle of long reach?

Hey, new to this board. I typically go from the middle of long reach, but have also had luck by Sherman's point. That being said I know guys who fish both ends - up by Deseronto and by the mouth of Hay Bay and stay away from the middle. I don't think there is access on the West side by Huff's though, but I may be wrong about that...

No I don't really mind, but what location were you wondering about?
Sherman's point is a pretty long walk to where I would go, and Huff's is pay parking, $5 bucks I think but may have changed this year?
