Well here is my first post in a while for the guys that complain that no one posts. Finally got connected with a good buddy (Walleye Wizard) and the plan was set. We were set up at Huffs by 715am yesterday morning. 15 jigs into the morning Jason yells fish on. didn't even have minnows on my jig yet. Jason loses the first fish half way up. the morning bite was slow as we only got 4 fish. Guys started leaving the ice and the fish came on about 11am. We ended the day between two of us with 17 and the biggest being 12.12lbs on scales, that I will say was caught by Jason. We only had 5 fish that weighted less than 7 lbs. It was a great day with a good buddy and the fish co-operated. We were in 24-26FOW and the fish were coming on high jigs and letting the bait fall almost back to them and they would come racing in and not think twice. Lots of ATV's and snowmobiles out there. Ice where we were was 6-8". I would still check as you go and spud around as the ice in the reach can change within a few feet.

Be safe out there and good luck. And remember theres a good mid day bite happening right now.

tight lines and cheers,

Chris

Excellent post Chris
I will add that the lures of choice were gold/red Mr. Champ and a Gold buck shot tipped with 2 minnows. I usually always use 3 but you were right how it was slowing up the fall.
Great day fishing with a good buddy. We will have to find our brother from a different mother and unite the old team.
