My friend and I took my boys and one of their friends to see if we could find a few trout up north. We had a nice ride in to the lake and got set up. Nothing wanted to hit so the boys gathered some fire wood and we settled down for a nice roasted hotdog and marshmellow lunch. After lunch the boys got goofing around and their friend ended up with a foot down a hole and soaked to his knee. I got his boot and socks off and wringed everything out and started on the task of toasting his sock over the fire to dry it off and hanging his boot above the fire.

In the meantime the others went and set up again. Magic time hit and my friend had the first trout of the day. My son came next and got his first trout through the ice and another for my friend again. All this time me sitting there roasting socks! By the time I got him dried up and back in action, the trout went to sleep again. Oh well. We all had a great time and I'm sure there will be lots of stories for school tomorrow of our adventure.

Sounds like a great day. I bet the kids will want to get back out fishing soon.

That's how memories are made and your boys will remember the times you gave them long after your gone.
