Looking for a boat launch in the Hay Bay/East Glenora area where the Local Authority has had the intelligence (and consideration) to leave the dock in the water until later this month at least! Leaving the dock in place is not much to ask considering that 'Ice' is a few weeks away at the earliest! Any information gratefully received!

What about the launch right at the Glenora Ferry? I havent launched there yet this year but each time I go by there I see others who have.

ya the ferry launch doesn't really have a dock....

a six footer, but nothing to tie your boat onto....

just the cement pier....

you could do it at the ferry.

1) back your truck/vehicle almost all the way in, but keep your bow strap attached to the trailer

2) put truck in park w/ e-brake, jump out, and jump into boat, taking strap off first.

3) start outboard, put into reverse, and back off trailer

4) drive boat along side of 'pier' and tie up

5) park truck and go back to boat.....

done.

simple as pie, by yourself.

My partner and I fish solo all the time.....i only have a 17 footer, but he has a 19 footer.

works for both boats.

Thanks Steve...it was the 'securing the boat' whilst parking the truck/trailer that was the problem. My thanks...will give it a try this week.
