I've never fished the morning bite before and was just wondering what depth would be best to set up in shallow, deep or somewhere in between?

My thoughts from reading the forum and talking to friends are that the bite has been slow in Trenton and other places where depth is an issue. I would say find some deeper water 15 plus to 21ft. That being said...with every Walleye we do catch I'm trying to do the Vulcan Mind Melt with them and they are not cooperating!!

The area that I fish isn't very deep ( near Trenton ) so I setup in 15 fow and have done good so far, but just like real estate it's all about the 3 L's , location , location and location.
