Hey, an interesting subject for discussion.

Going hard water fishing with NE blowing but excellent lunar cycle.

Which is more important wind direction or the moon activity ?

Nothing is ever a guarantee. I've had great fishing days when everything points to poor fishing and vica versa.

That being said I would go with lunar cycle over wind direction. Time and time again the major bite is bang on. It's really quite incredible.

I find lunar cycle plays an important part. I try to schedule my trips around full moon phase and always seem to do well weather it be -25 or 0 during peak estimated times..Major barometer change has its effects on the bite also.

I have noticed wind to be more of a factor on most days. With that being said I don't pay as much attention to lunar cycles , so I may be biased to wind .
