friday after work headed to pt anne but couldnt get across the pressure crack (since then a spot to cross has been made thanks to hardwaterwalleye and others). Decided to go out of Belleville near rush bar. Marked a few but nothing. Buddy with me got a 10.04 eye and lost another part way up. Saturday morning went back to rush bar and went home empty handed. Sunday morning went out of pt anne, nearly to wagers, fishing the main channel. Marked a few and it semed to me the fish just werent moving around much. Last night after work went for a quick fish and marked 3 at the same time and managed to get one of them, a 3lber, on a 3/4 oz gold buckshot with 1 minnow doing the "Hodgey jiggle". lol Ice at pt anne was 10" and rush bar was 5-7 with water coming out of the hole due to the weight of the last couple of snow storms we've had. Drifts in places were 2 ft but also some bare patches of ice. If you're going by foot or quad you will be doodling your way out around drifts. The MNR has been out a lot and I have been stopped twice over the last weekend. Someone I was talking with last night said the MNR is enforcing helmet laws and handing out tickets, so be sure to wear one and do up the chin strap if you're travelling by machine. They didnt ask me for ownership or insurance but did note I had this years sticker on my sled. Will be back at er this weekend and havent a clue where to go :oops:

Heard MNR were out heavy on sunday...............was a line up of guys to wait in while they wrote up helmet tickets at George St. I was told. They were making lots of guys happy the meter maid service they were providing.

Lol yes heard the same about the tickets. Be sure to wear a helmet and do up the chin strap!

Ya bud, great report, thanks, will be back out this sat, still not sure, maybe Deseranto, been a couple weeks since i've been there but had good luck last time. its a roll of the dice.

MNR stopped by to check our licenses and check our fish. there were 2 on us and 2 on a group beside us. Saturday.
