I know there are walleye at potters had the camera down on thur lots of perch and saw a couple of eyes cruise by but not interested, anyway potters is good parking, easy walk out you will see all the perm huts out, hope this helps good luck, for my self going to try rice lake for a while .

Hey Jim...Sounds like you weren't happy catching perch? Rice is only open for pan fish so hope you don't waste a trip just to find out once your there that you can't keep any eye's!
Lots of perch and crappie though!

good luck!

No Kevin I am fine with catching perch and pan fish it's just that I live only 10 min from rice lake and it's 45 to an hour to quinte, and I know walleyes are off limits and that's fine with me cause it does make a difference for the spring witch I am so looking forward to. No doubt I will be back to quinte this year before ice out those eyes are like moths drawn to a flame can't resist.

I've never been to Quinte and I'm looking to come up Friday and stay over to fish Saturday. Its a 3+ hour drive from SW Ontario for me.

A couple questions
1. Looking to fish walleye and maybe some perch
2. I'm coming with a 23 foot enclosed, quad and sleds so parking is a huge concern.
3. Can I drive a quad out after all the snow?

I'm not coming to steal everyone's monster fish and I'm too far away to remember and/or care about personal hot spots, I just want to know where a good place is to catch a couple walleye and a few perch. I don't plan on really keeping much or fishing long, maybe a few just for a simple meal for two people.

Basically I'm just cruising thru the area, sledding and fishing as I go so I just want to have some fun. Thought it would be a nice trip if I threw in the quad and hut and fish a day on the way.

I am grateful for any help you can give. PM the info if that's easier

There are walleye and perch all over the Bay from Trenton to Picton. Pick a spot and try it!! I've been trying for 4 years, and have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars trying to locate fish. It ain't as easy as just asking for a spot to pick up a few eaters. If you're lucky, you will catch fish on your first outing, but don't be surprised if you get skunked. As far as parking goes on a Saturday morning, you better get there early. Access points on the Bay on a Saturday morning is like trying to park Downtown Toronto on a Saturday night.

Good Luck!!

There are walleye all over the lake, so fish the higher percentage spots on a map, humps, bumps and tight contours bud, if ya wiggle em good and their hungry, you'll know!, cheers!
