Wow, as per the Ron Burgandy quote, this escalated quickly. Listen folks, I reposted this as it is a great cause and benefit for the community. I 110% agree that there should be some sort of weight restriction as I realize that the resource we all have and share is one of a kind. At this point and tickets I'm sure are already being sold so a format change would most likely be out of the question. The information and feedback has been passed up the lines of communication and education on the matter is first and foremost.
For all those opposed to this years event format, I suggest this, and I will be the first, lets instead of purchasing tickets to the event donate $10.00 apiece to the L&ASOS. Both goals are then met with the volunteers getting some fund raising and also some education of the fishery and how to best sustain it.
By no means is this an apology for posting the original post, I am and always will be an avid fisherman who enjoys to chow down on a fish or two every now and then. It is still a great cause and benefits people that we should all look out for, as we will all be in their shoes at some point. Lets hope that the voices will be heard and next years event will be formatted differently.
Well said! Hopefully they change the format next year. Now everyone can kiss and make up.... #notlikely #wilderness
