Morning Everyone.

Coming out this weekend to the BoQ.
1st time out this year. I guess it is my luck that I have chosen the coldest weekend of the year to come down.
We are planning on heading to Huffs and then maybe big bay.
I was going to bring the bike down, but I am unsure if there is too much snow or slush.

Today I am working on building a Smitty Sled as my hut will not fit on my little pull sled.

Hope to meet a few of you out there.
I usually just sit on a pail outside but with this cold I think I would rather stay out of the wind.

Could someone let me know about the bike thing?? Is it worth bringing it.

Tight Lines

Dave

Hey dave. I would bring it just in case. Huffs is a very busy place and there is probably trails made going in and out. I myself have drove my 4 wheeler out the last 2 days. First trip out had to push it a couple times out of drifts. But since then I have a trail made and no problems. And i fish real close to huffs

huff is a good bet seems the bite is still on there, as big basin said lots of people out there means lots of packed snow should be no problem with your wheeler

I certainly wouldn't say that the bite is still on at Huffs. A few fish iced here and there but definitley not "ON".

I did not mean Huffs was the hot spot. I do not normally fish here. I usually go to Wagers. But I have not seen any reports for this area in a while.
Used to fish off the quick short road but you cannot park there anymore. Or at least last year you could not.
I don't know what the pressure crack is like at Wagers now. The last I read you still could not get on.
Not sure if that has changed or not.

Dave, Quick Short is still a no go as far as parking. Huffs was not good to us a few days ago. seems some people are still hitting them though. Walking the hut out was TOUGH. No trails cut when we were there, maybe different now. Good idea with the smitty if you are planning to walk.
