Got out fishing today after I got the kids on the bus. I was set up and fishing after a brutal walk by 10am and was marking right away but couldn't get any to commit until around 11:45 then I nailed a big girl guessing around 11-12 but didn't have a scale. Managed 2 other eaters about a half hour later and all were released to fight another day! The afternoon got a little slow until around 4:30 then they came in in waves unfortunately I lossed a couple more big girls at the hole and had trouble getting the others to bite but it was fun to see the flasher light up even though they wouldn't bite damit lol. But all in all great day on the hardwater, love it!!

Same question. How thick was the ice and is it starting to slush up?

Ice is about 10-12 inches thick, not much slush but deep snow! Was out again this morning with my Dad I got three average weight 3 lbs and Dad got three average weight 10.5lbs lol! Marking lots but can't most of them to bite! 2 great days on the hard water! Hot lures were green/chartreuse Fire eye minnow, and blue/silver Rapala minnow! 26ft of water again!

Sounds like another good outing sunny! Did you try the old 'chase' trick?

Yes I have been trying everything lol up slow, up fast, shaking it while up slow, shaking it while up fast, leaving it right in front of them, sometimes it works but feel like I am leaving a lot of fish laughing at me :). I am starting to think it might be the minnows!

Seems like the bite Is still somewhat on at huffs. I was out over the weekend and once this week to thompsons / Sherman's and things seem to be very slow. Seems like they have moved on to a bit shallower water I have been marking a few but getting them to bit is a whole other topic. Anyone else getting these results in that area ??
