Welcome to the board and Quinte. If yo look down there was a recent discussion about night fishing. As for jiging at night, I have given it a go a few times and not had much luck. I would rather troll at night or cast in and around weeds. A popular bait for nighttime is the rebel fasttrac jointed minnow. As well as husky jerks, smithwick rouges and shallow diving long a bombers. Clown and hot bright colors have been good but alsonhad some great nights on the black/silv/orange combo. Good luck and let us know how you make out. There are alot of us that use to fish at night but have gone to the day bite.

I'd go with the trolling myself...

Question is, are you trolling the Reach or PB ?

you can jig the points but haven't heard much reports from anyone fishing them so far this season.

One time i was trolling at night and hooked a fish so we stopped the boat to reel it in, and as i was reeling it in my buddy who is a novice at best cast his jig off the side and caught a monster just under 15lbs!! I havent jigged at night since but i think if you can mark a pod of them its worth a try! By the way we were on a dying weedline in Picton Harbour when we were on these fish. Good Luck!
