Had a great trip with my 6 year old Tuesday with some nice eaters brought home so the 9 year old wants to get out there now. Will be launching from Huffs on my sled and just looking for any general safety related info. You never now what the Bay is going to throw at you! Slush is my biggest concern, but with my 800 sled I should be able to get through. I'll be sure to post a report Sat night. Tks in advance.

Spent most of the afternoon and into the dark sitting in my portable at huffs today. my minnows were happy to get outta the house and go for a swim. Sat around the 26 fow area. Ended up marking some but cannot get anything to commit even tried down sizing to perch gear to see if that would spark them. Anyone else having luck in the area ?? As for snow and slush conditions there seems to be a bit of slush developing in some area but still seems ok for atv and sleds seen a few atv out there today moving around fairly easily and one with tracks seeming to have no troubles I chose to walk today unknown about the conditions but I might take my atv out this weekend if no more snow and it doesn't raise in temp to much 10+ " of ice

NW wind and dropping barometer = a likely great bite today ... but I just can't take my kid on the road through this snow and wind. I bet anyone who got out there this a.m. or tonight and can find fish will do well ... curious to hear about it!

Friend went to Huff's this a.m. and there wasn't a single car there. He turned back as well as it was too ugly. good luck and be safe out there!

That high pressure that came through Thursday afternoon prolly screwed the last day or so up. Hopefully it turns on tonight!

Hope people are doing better than us. Came out of huffs up to the cat shoal. One fish lost and thats it. Might head to shermans for afternoon. Anyone been out there? We are on about 7 inches ice. Lots of powder snow and some bad slush in spots. Walk out from huffs didnt seem too bad. Bunch of trucks there.
