Just a quick update, went to huffs yesterday was fishing by 6:30 and didnt pack up until 5:30. Had some marks the am but not much action untill 9 or so my uncle missed once then landed a 5lb14oz. After that is was slow slow slow. Around i caught what i was expecting to be a perch, a 6 inch eye lol.

Other than that some snow and getting real slushy as you head west especially with a quad. We walked and wasnt too bad with the Smitty sled. how had everyone elae been doing other than yhe magician lol!!

It is walk able for sure. Not saying its an easy walk but i pulled the gear for me and my uncle on sunday. Most spots are slushy on bottom with anywhere from 6 to 16 inches of snow on top. Good luck and be safe.

Fished Monday evening ,marked 5 one bite lost minnows and no cigar.
Same for my two friends.

Tuesday morning marked 5 iced a 2lb baby that was stolen by seagull when left to shore

to get my flashlight for evening bite that never happened. On the way back to my sled 60 yards from shore

was nearly attacked by 2 dogs that I see on Huffs all the time never bothered me before. The smaller boxer ? hit me from behind

and made me turn around then both Rotweiler -mastiff I cant tell the breed started growling and looked in

attack mode. Finally the owners saw that and called them off. Totally unprovoked and came from behind.

I hope owners are reading this and can explain why I had to go through this ***.

What a day

A day before a big one paid a visit and no problem.
It appears that the smaller looked like instigator turning
The other on.
I am not a dog keeper but 2 growling dogs are a pack and anything can happen
Happened before many times in the news .
They may be nice animals but could be
Trained wrong or just stupid.
Either way they didnt completely
Ruined my day anymore then the fishing luck.

I am coming up on tuesday/wed with the girlfriend and was wondering if people are still parking on the ice? Also has the bite picked up any? I usually head south of huffs and try to stay away from the crowds. Any info on what depth or area to fish would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to pm me if you have any helpful pointers for us.
Thanks

my friend blueline wasnt too impressed with these 2 dogs. If the owner does read this he should start paying attention to his dogs (control that is) or he is not going to be a happy person. Obviously this is a growing concern for many fisherman.
I must admit though, the seagull taking off with mini walleye was a hoot and a half for us lol.

I've never had a problem with those dogs??? Weird they acted that way. I'm almost certain the Big one belongs to the gentleman who keeps the pasture plowed for us. Sounds like even the dogs want a cut of the action 2 milk bones or your not leaving lol!
