Tough weekend to say the least. Friday went out of Northport and worked 3 spots from there to County Shores with nothing to show for it. Marked very little. Ice about 7 inches in front of CS and closer to 11 in Northport.

Saturday we went out of Huffs. Went to Cat Shoal. Lost one good one, marked a few more and that was it. Ice about 6-7 inches there. LOTS of slush pockets on that run, worked the sled hard. Setup in the afternoon south of Huffs about a mile and on the west shore. Be careful over there - only 4 inches of ice and again, lots of slush. Marked a few with nothing to show for it.

Sunday I was set on sleeping in but the girlfriend set the alarm and we were on our way by 630. Even on the coldest day of the year I think, she was a trooper and eager to get out there again even after 2 skunks. Went off Green Point. Good ice out there, about 11 inches, and not as much slush. Pretty easy ride out but lots of powder. I didn't even get my line in the water before she had kicked the weekend skunk with this fish. It was the only one we iced or marked until we packed up at 11.

Another tough weekend considering we hit 6 spots and spent 2-1/2 days out there. One day we'll get that place figured out.

Good luck and stay safe out there the rest of the season - we're Nipissing bound the last 3 weekends of the season.

Matt
