Hello, 24 yr old female new to the area . new to ice fishing been out twice in belleville at the conservation area , with a few bites but minnows got eaten. Spoke to my uncle ( from northern New York state) very happy I became interested in our family tradition of ice fishing. More to the point he has come down to visit and ice fish with me this week. but I would like to take myself, father and uncle to a spot that I can actually catch these world renowned walleye. I tired deseronto last year with only a 6 inch perch as result . My uncle watched grant mcAllister you tube video and hears this "green point" is great. How do I get there? Is there a place to park? . Is this the wrong location , should I be trying somewhere else? . Thanks for all your help see you out there Monday/ Tuesday

Fishing girl....welcome.............there is a map near the top of the index board. Posted locations via Tylercurt. Green Point is number 11 and you can see the point on the map,12 is Huffs and 13 is Shermans. All three can be productive, as can Desoronto,Belleville ,Big Bay ect. A flasher is almost a necessity , and getting deep enough is also important. Parking at Huffs, and Shermans. When your uncle watched the video, these guides often have equipment and experience others may not. They often have Atvs or sleds ect, and move around a fair bit. They fish in the safety of a group, have floatation suits, and have additional safety equipment such as spuds ect.
Some of these areas have more current, and sometimes thinner ice. If your uncle is more experienced and equipped, point areas such as Green and Massassauga, are areas people do fish. If not I would suggest you try Huffs ....or Shermans...mainly because you can park right there, but perhaps also because you can walk out(YOU NEVER MENTIONED IF YOUR ON FOOT) , there are apt to be more people around, especially on weekends and maybe thicker ice than the points....but still check for yourself! (JUST MY TWO CENTS TO GET YOU STARTED VENTURING AWAY FROM BELLEVILLE...AND DESORONTO....GOOD LUCK!)

Hey Fishing girl

Here's my map of Quinte East to help you. There are other areas that are not shown out respect for local Guide friends, but these areas marked should help you
as well as a picture of popular assorted baits

If you need a better copy of the map you can message me 613 349 6459

Best of Luck Fishing!
& remember "Breeder's aren't Eaters" - unless they're slimey old pike ;)

Cheers
Spenc

PS: FishinMagician - is very helpful!

That sounds like a good offer, FishinMagician has posted some nice pics recently, and it would be nice to see you, or a family member holding a big Walleye!

Hi all you big strong Quinte fishermen. I am a smoking hot bikini model who wants to bring all her single (equally hot) friends to your area for some ice fishing. Could you all send me your GPS co-ordinates for some Quinte gold. Thanks! Fisher girl this is not directed at you. Just having some fun! Good luck this week.

Thanks guys for all the advice, we have an atv and think because of all the snow and not many paths we will stick the conservation area (potters creek) . However though I would still like to adventure with anyone who wants to fish. We will be out tomorrow at that area if any of you wanna pop by, unfortanitly no bikini :) lol . You guys are very helpful and I appreciate it .
