just looking for any info on rock lake ice fishing in Verona. I usually launch there in summer, but cruise right through to Howes lake for bass and walleye. never really fished hard in rock. going out this weekend, and wondered if anyone ever fished it in winter, and how they made out. Thanks for any info. :?

I've ice fished Rock...there are some decent pike in there. Usually fished right out from and close to the boat launch.

cheers

Thanks Legacy. is that the launch behind the corner store? or is it the first launch coming into Verona? either way, I m sure we will have a good time.

Sorry for the late reply...the one behind the store. My daughter used to live close to that launch at one time. Summer and winter fishing had always been good.

I think of this lake being like a big bowl due to the higher ground surrounding so always find it fairly sheltered.

Cheers

thanks everyone for the help. went out on sunday, just about froze to death, but managed a 3lb pike and a couple of perch. my son loved it and never seemed to mind how cold it was. might try again before ice out. that was the most luck we have had all winter.
