Yup, it all boils down to this... The last crack at the can till May!!!

The main question is, where are you all going to be? Around Trenton or Belleville or perhaps they're still are fish around the lowers parts of the bay??? I would assume that the real sows are on the move up in and around Trenton and Belleville, but what do I know lol.

Where are you going to be for last call?

How much slush and snow near belleville? I tend to spend more time digging my sled out with slush then fishing . . .

The walking out from George St was not bad when I went out the trail was firm and walk-able, I was on snowshoes and I did see where a walker or two went through to slush in a few areas. The walk back in sucked since there were a few bikes that use the same trail that was walked and busted it up pretty soft. It was easier to make my own new trail in areas then it was to stay on the screwed trail. the newer softer broke up part of the trail went down to slush. Saw a few bikes and sleds, the sleds did okay the bikes made it but not without some of them screwing the trail. Only the one eye iced at 2:30 this afternoon 7-7.5 pounds back down the hole she went. Scale digital, cold and weak batteries weight non conclusive. I believe the hut beside me hit one at about the same time I do not know if he landed it or not.

Thanks for the update. Is it deep slush - like over your ankles deep or just a bit below the snow? I am going out this afternoon at some point. I was going to head out from Herchimer.

Below the snow deep yesterday, couple of inches if you broke through the snow crust. Don't hit it much myself with the snowshoes, my best investment a few years ago. Do it again in a heartbeat if it comes down to another pair.

Went to Sherman's last Sunday, the walk is ok if you can find snowmobile trials but hard going in untouched snow - puff puff....sometimes up to my top of my boots and slush/water on top of ice.
