8 trips this season, got fish 5 times, my best results since starting on Quinte 5 years ago. The highlight was watching my 6 year old get his first fish through the ice, 4 eaters, before I even had a nibble.

Hoping to get lucky this coming Saturday afternoon and taking my 77 year old friend out by sled ... have taken him once/year for 5 years, and we have 0 fish so far so any info, INCLUDING SAFTEY RELATED is appreciated!

Good luck out there everyone!!!!!!!!

Was at Sherman's tonight and nobody had any from what I saw when I got in, Marked 2 big fish all evening in 27 fow, had a few marks stick around the bottom, figured they were the really small walleye as the chased up 15 ft, same as I've been catching all winter. Good luck, the walking wasn't bad as there are alot of sled tracks to follow.

barometric pressure 104.3 and rising. havn't seen it that high this year. from what I'm reading the bite is off.

time to scout out a splake lake this afternoon instead, then get the boat ready!

side note, if anyone has the knowledge of soft water fishing on Quinte, I've got the boat and tackle, but not the experience or knowledge of where to go, so shoot me a PM in May and I'll maybe we can trade some info for a day on the bay!
